LUMBER: How do you create a lumber market when demand is not there? After taking almost 400 million board feet off the market throughout this year, Canfor announced another 75 million board feet coming off effective Sept. 3. With Canfor being one of the largest producers of softwood spruce dimension, this sent a message to the market, which listened and had a bit of a run up. As I mentioned in earlier notes, what is true demand? And what does that look like in the suppliers eyes.
PANEL: Panel prices stayed flat but unlike last week when I was looking for more erosion of pricing, I think plywood producers will be following the market.
