Industry Forecast - Lumber Pricing & Market Predictions
LUMBER: Another flat week on print. Studs actually came up a modest 1%. I think the mills are at the bottom and now everyone has to move their inventory. Back to the supply and demand concept although mills probably won't go much lower. We will need demand to move this market.
PANEL: The panel market continued to slide downwards but this isn't too much of a surprise as this market typically lags behind dimension lumber. With that said, I look for this market to flatten out in the next week or two. Of course all bets are off in both markets if we don't get back to whatever the new normal looks like.
