Industry Forecast - Lumber Pricing & Market Predictions

LUMBER: Another relatively flat week on print with some items printing up a bit. Mills are continually looking to move off supply on their terms. On the other side, we saw the pressure treated market kick into a higher gear. This week's print saw prices rise to new heights. Outside activity such as decks is still in demand and treaters are defensive but moving product.

PANEL: The panel market continued to slide downwards but this isn't too much of a surprise as this market typically lags behind dimension lumber. With that said, I look for this market to flatten out in the next week or two. Of course all bets are off in both markets if we don't get back to whatever the new normal looks like.
